Before and After

I picked this little planter up for a few dollars, thought it would make a cute addition to the yucky yard!

*Before*  You can barely see it!

*After*  I still need to a little touch up, I ran out of white paint.

 Maybe I should have painted this pink.

 I even did a little replanting, not sure what type of flower these are, I just got them out of the yard.

They were both purple, so I planted them together.

I also purchased some seed packs, think I'll try my hand at germinating and see how that turns out.

The Ugly Truth

OMG!!  This is horrible! But it is for real my friends.  I have really, really neglected my yard all winter.  It's not a very big back yard, lots of pasture though.  You would think that I could keep it up, the Ugly Truth is that I haven't.  I haven't even sat back there since the fall and it turned a little cold.  I'm not a winter person at all.  I am a summer girl, I love warm weather.  It really does not get that cold where I live.  My poor back yard.  I need to give it the attention it deserves.

 

 

I placed my beautiful climbing rose by the fence, the donkey must have love it, yup, thorns and all, this is all that I have left of it!  Bad Donkey!!

Oh well, I have a lot of work cut out for me, but I am showing you the ugly truth of my life!!

I am the official Thrift Store Queen, not really, I've just been lucking up on some great finds, at some great prices.  I'm sure it will come to an end soon!!  Then I will not be able to find anything.  What am I going to do with all of this stuff any way?

This doll house was only $3.50

This is the back

This is opened up, it has some crayon marks on in, but I'll be fixing this little doll house up, it's so sweet.  I love the handles to carry it with.

Now, from this picture down I paid $2.85!!  The compote is pretty big, I can just see this filled with Easter eggs!

 

Love the doilies, they are the perfect size for on top of a small box or a card..

Small baggie with flowers, the white one are so pretty.

and some Christmas towels for next year.

Now I need to find some time to work with the things I have gotten, I just keep bringing stuff home and not doing anything with them, maybe I need to get a booth...

Thrift Store Finds, yet again I went into my little home town store and found these little treasures, not a lot, but some things to craft with and useful items and the best part...$2.14!

Love these small spools, they look like wooden bobbins, not sure what they are...they are just cute to me.

Maybe I'll make some dolls with these spools.

I also have the curly hair to make the dolls!

Love the basket with the handles, it's a different shape.. great for an Easter basket.

Cute frames with glass, not plastic, I need to clean these up a bit.

Velour Butterfly, Shower curtain hooks and the gems make think of Easter!

Speaking of Easter, I need to get in on some swaps.  I had so much fun with the Valentine Swaps. If anyone knows of any, please let me know!  Have a great day!

It's pretty simple, but I love the verse, it is one of my favorites.

I think I will give this to my parents for Valentines Day.

# Duct Tape Wallet #

My 14- year old son's Duct Tape Wallet that he made.

He watched how to make this on YouTube, he never does anything crafty.

I think it turned  out great for his first project.

* Thrift Store Vintage Tablecloths *

I went into my small, local thrift store today and I found these tablecloths for $1.00 each, and when I checked out they were having a half price sell, only 50 cents each.  What a great deal, or would that be a steal?

 Red Roses is my favorite one.

 I'm not real sure if this is vintage, but I like the color and 

the lace details on the napkins.

 Love the butterflies.

This one is bright and cheerful!
