Look What I See

Wisteria, I love the look of it and I love the smell!

So delicate and pretty.
This is coming out of an old hollowed out tree or something.

It is hanging every where in the trees on the property I live on,  just beautiful!

Wishing everyone a great day!

  1. This seems to be a good year for wisteria bloom! A lot is blooming around here, too -- it's so aggressive, though, that I'm leery of planting it in our standard size lot -- it will snatch the roof off of a house it gets too close to.

  2. I love wisteria! In fact, a dear friend was here this afternoon from the Lubbock area. She used to live here and we met in the 80's when my daughter and I both lived in the same apt complex...buildings apart. My daughter and J lived next door to each other and my daughter introduced us. It was like instant friendship! Anyway, she & my daughter planted wisteria on the fence behind their apts and it's still there...25 yrs later!:-) Each time I drive by that complex or see wisteria blooming anywhere, it makes me think of her.

    Your blog is wonderful!

  5. The Wisteria is spectacular this year! Once my children and I found a huge wood completely covered with Wisteria and we walked inside. The floor was completely covered with humongous Wisteria roots, honestly some of them were 7 or more inches in diameter! When you looked up it was a solid roof of beautiful lavendar. It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Sadly, the next year they came and cut down every single tree and put the land up for sale. That was about 6 years ago and there it sits, unsold and heavy underbrush taken over. But I drove by this week and saw the Wisteria taking over again. It will be a long time before it forms a room, but someday I hope another lucky adventurer will get to see it.
